Millvale first borough in Pennsylvania to earn Platinum Certification through the Sustainable Pennsylvania Community Certification Program

Millvale announced today it is the first borough and the fourth municipality in Pennsylvania to earn Platinum Certification (highest performance level) through the Sustainable Pennsylvania Community Certification program. Millvale had previously earned Gold Certification through the program.  Millvale is also the first municipality in Allegheny County to achieve the honor.  The municipality completed the program’s rigorous assessment/checklist which tracks 131 policies and practices that define a sustainable community.  In order to achieve Platinum, a municipality must provide justification in the form of web links to supporting publicly available material located on the municipal website for at least 90% of their… Read More »
