Last Saturday, the Millvale Community Library and Tupelo Honey Teas hosted the young entrepreneurs at BatCat Press for a special book-binding class!

BatCat Press is an independent publisher run entirely by high school students. The press specializes in producing handmade, limited-edition publications of new works by new and established authors. Our hosts, Deanna Barringer and Olivia Smith, helped participants build and bind their own custom book ornaments that they could use for writing or decoration.

Our next adult maker program will be held on January 7th, 2017, as Millvale Beekeeper Denise Rudar will teach participants how to make Beeswax Hand Lotion (made with local beeswax!). Registration is free with a recommended $5 donation! Those interested in participating can register here.
