Millvale is starting to warm up, and that means summer is just around the corner! The Millvale Community Library is offering a wide range of summer camp programs for children, ages 5 to 13. Camps are happening weekly between June and August, and all camps are FREE! Lunch and a snack are also included, free of charge!
At the Millvale Community Library, our goal is to make sure everyone in our community has year-round opportunities for learning and growth. Our summer camp programs are designed to help facilitate that learning by teaching kids about a broad spectrum of different topics, and ensure they’re having fun, making new friends, and are well-fed while doing it! This year, we are splitting up our summer camp program into two separate age groups, to better focus our attention on providing the best opportunities for each age range. Morning sessions will be held from 10:00a to 1:00p for young children, ages 5-8, and afternoon sessions will be held from 12:00p to 4:00p for the older children, ages 9-13.
“We are really excited about this summer,” said Nora Peters, Maker Program Director at Millvale Community Library. “We have the opportunity to work with community members, both in Millvale and around Pittsburgh, to connect our campers with ‘Makers’ doing cool things in the area. I am really excited for the summer to start, and I can’t wait to see all of the 2017 MCL campers!”
Registration will begin on April 1st at the Millvale Community Library and on our website at millvalelibrary.org. For questions, please contact Nora Peters at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the library at 412.822.7081.
