According to AirNow.gov the Pittsburgh region’s Air Quality Index is forecast to be “Unsafe for Sensitive Groups” (Orange) this week.  That means “active children and adults, and people with lung disease, such as asthma, should reduce prolonged or heavy exertion outdoors.” The following blog was written by New Sun Rising Summer Air Quality Interns, Noah Robinson and Anaïs Peterson on the impact of poor air quality on athletes!
