Joanne has been a helpful volunteer since 2017!

For 2019, we’re starting a new blog series spotlighting the amazing volunteers who help out library on a regular basis. Our first spotlight shines on Joanne Canonico, who volunteers every Friday shelf-reading and setting up our book displays.

Joanne has volunteered at Millvale Community Library for a year and half. She enjoys working at the library because she is on disability and keeps busy with volunteer work. She says she likes the library because, “It’s a place where I can find a book about anything.” Her favorite books are memoirs.

When she’s not at the library, Joanne enjoys reading, going to the YMCA, and knitting. She loves animals and owns a pet canary.

The Millvale Community Library is grateful for Joanne and all of our other helpful volunteers!
