There are so many ways to show your love for the Millvale Community Library. Consider these options to get involved:
Without our amazing volunteers, the Millvale Library would not exist today! Be sure to check out the library calendar for events tagged [Volunteer] to get involved on our community days of service and other volunteer opportunities. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, contact the Resources Development VISTA at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are always welcoming volunteers to serve on committees. If you are interested in joining our team as a committee member, please inquire at email@example.com.
The public is welcome to attend meetings of the Millvale Community Library Board of Directors and share their comments during the first 20 minutes of each meeting. Board meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at 6:00pm (except July) at the Library, 213 Grant Ave, Millvale 15209.
The Millvale Library is committed to financial sustainability because we believe that we provide important services to the community that should not be compromised, regardless of outside funding. We maintain our facility and basic functions through the revenue we generate by renting the two apartments above the library and the non-profit space neighboring the library.
Our other initiatives, such as programming, special events, facility improvements, and staffing increases, are all made possible by library funders and donors like you! We appreciate all individual donations, and use them to ensure that we are providing the best possible services to our patrons and our community. We are always accepting monetary donations by cash or check, in person or via mail. Checks can be made out to the Millvale Library. We also have a Donate button in the footer of our website. By clicking on the Donate button, you will be taken to a secure donation site.
We are not accepting book donations at this time.
In addition to monetary donations, we are currently accepting donations of New or GENTLY used tools for our tool lending library. See below for how you can help!
