Home Improvement Resource Night

Come learn about home improvement databases, internet resources, and our Tool Lending Library. This event will also feature a tour of our Tool Lending Library.

Steel City Shakespeare presents Hamlet

Steel City Shakespeare Center presents Hamlet by William Shakespeare, directed by Alan Irvine, and featuring The talents of Anne Rematt as Hamlet, Bob Colbert, Kelsey Walls, Darrin Mosley, and Jonathan Heidenreich.

Illustrated Wisdom w/ Sandra Gould Ford

Millvale Job Fair

Are you looking for a new job? Look no further! Millvale Community Library is hosting a job fair at the Millvale Community Center (416 Lincoln Ave, Millvale, PA 15209) on October 9th. Meet with employers to learn about potential job opportunities.

We encourage job seekers to bring copies of their resumes to share with employers. If you need help creating or printing a resume, please stop by the library during our regular business hours!

Pie Baking Contest & Fundraiser

October 13th, 12:00 PM

Love to bake? Join the Millvale Community Library for our 1st ever Pie Baking Contest and Fundraiser!

*Pie Baking Contest Rules*

Awards given for Best Amateur Overall & Best Professional Overall. Additional pie categories will also be awarded.

$5 entry fee. Up to two pies per contestant.

Drop off pies at Depot between 8:30 – 10am in disposable tins. We cannot be responsible for your favorite baking dishes!

Please RSVP by October 6th if you wish to participate.

Open to bakers of all ages
Crust and filling must be homemade.
Pies must be received NO LATER than 10 am on Saturday, October with a card listing each pie name, your name and a list of ingredients.
Pies will be judged on crust, appearance, and filling, and taste by guest judges.
Winner need not be present during judging but should be present for awards ceremony between 12:30 p.m. (more pies take more time)

Adult Makers

October 13th, 11:30 AM

What do want to put in a box? Have you watched Se7en recently? You can make a box too, using repurposed wood!

Learn with local artist Abigail Beddall how to make planters, pet water bowl holders, magazine rack, and more!!!

Register in advance via Eventbrite. Cost for supplies is $10 at the door the day of the event. Please contact the library for more details.

Harry Potter Party

October 19th, 8:00 PM

Tickets are now available!!!! We are celebrating 21 years of Harry Potter with a fundraiser to benefit children’s programming at the Millvale Community Library!

Admission is just 2 Galleons 1 Sickle and 10 Knuts (that’s only $10 for Muggles). Each ticket gets you food, chances for prizes, games, entrance in the costume contest, and more! Cash (Donation) bar! (This is a 21+ event).

Girty’s Run Watershed Association

October 24th, 6:00 PM

A celebration for the newly formed Girty’s Run Watershed Association! Residents, municipalities, businesses, and organizations with an interest Girty’s Run watershed are invited to attend this kickoff event on Wednesday, Oct 24th from 6 to 9pm at the Millvale Community Library.
